As founder of FAB Studio, Frank A. Butler is an architect with over 30 years of hospitality experience. He has traveled the world many times over and understands the experience both as a guest and as a designer. Frank graduated from the Texas A&M University in 1977 and has since won numerous awards for his design including the Republic of China Architectural Golden Award: Best Architecture Design for Oviedo Gardens. He began his career at Shepherd & Boyd in 1978 and was a Founding Principal at Three Architecture, Inc. for 25 years. Frank has a passion for travel and golf. He has been married to his wife, Ann, for over 30 years and has two grown children.
Raised in Singapore, Song’s love to travel and desire for organic architecture drew him to Frank and thus began an instant partnership. His designs thrive from the experiences he receives from working in different locales and it is directly reflected in his architecture. Before founding FAB Studio, Song previously worked at Three Architecture as a Senior Designer and also at Rees Associates, both in Dallas, Texas. When not traveling abroad, Song enjoys his many hobbies including model airplanes and trains.
Jalil Amine began his career 31 years ago, as an architect and urban planner in Europe, primarily in Belgium and France, under the supervision of Leon Krier’s Studio and James Stirling’s office, before moving to San Francisco in 1986. He has since worked on numerous hospitality projects, high end residential projects and senior living developments worldwide. Jalil advocates that design is not about a preconceived idea or style, but rather the creative and insightful results of team collaboration. In practice, he has worked with a broad, complex range of clients on a global level inciting emotion and driving project development.
Patrick Dunn is a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience. His subsequent roles have spanned every aspect of the profession, including having previously owned his own architectural firm. Prior to joining FAB Studio, Patrick worked with both Frank and Song at Three Architecture. Outside of his life at FAB Studio, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, Traci, and four children. He is also an award winning photographer.
As Project Manager Carl is responsible for varied project management, quality control, critical detailing design and construction administration. Carl has previously been responsible for projects valued up to $95 million and has designed & supervised various civic, historical, retail, educational, financial, medical, religious and residential projects. He has considerable experience in project direction & troubleshooting, is a high-energy team player and can reliably implement all phases of our design services.
With over 17 years of architectural and design experience, Gi-Hyong is highly skilled in developing conceptual designs and problem solving. Sketch Up and 3D CAD drawings are his specialty while working with luxury hospitality, residential, and senior living projects. He has completed projects all around the world, including Asia, USA, Mexico, and Canada. Gi-Hyong is involved in all phases of the building process, from initial conceptual planning through the construction documentation phase. The Seoul, South Korean native earned both a Bachelor of Architecture degree (w/ 5 year professional degree) in 2000 and a Master of Architecture degree in 2002 and from the University of Oklahoma.
With more than 23 years of marketing experience, Anne serves as director of marketing and is responsible for planning, developing and implementing FAB's marketing strategy and budget. She also oversees all client presentations, collateral material, and website. Anne has extensive print and graphics experience and enjoys the entire design and print process. At Three Architecture, Inc., she was instrumental in the rebranding of the firm including print, web, and maintaining the brand.
